On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Rondout Valley Growers Association came to Marbletown to host a hummus taste testing in the school cafeteria as part of their Farm to School Program.
Chef John Novi of Depuy Canal House made hummus with Ms. O’Donnell’s kindergarten class, and RVSD Food Services Director Chris VanDamm made hummus with Ms. Bullock’s 3rd grade class. Meanwhile in the cafeteria, each grade had a chance to taste test the hummus with carrots and local green peppers from Davenport Farms.
There were also ballots for the kids to fill out to let RVGA know how they liked the hummus! Click here for a printable version of RVGA’s hummus recipes.
